At the warehouse, Carly informs Jason that Nina will tell Sonny she slept with John, which she didn’t. He says, “Copy that,” which Carly points out is a new saying of his. She doubts Sonny will care who she sleeps with now, and she doesn’t think he even loves her anymore.

Jason doesn’t believe Sonny stopped loving Carly. She explains Sonny was different after Nixon Falls, he was infatuated with Nina and blamed everything that went wrong on the two of them. She also says when Jason “died” it felt like her heart was ripped out of her chest, but Sonny barely noticed he was gone. She fills him in on what happened between her and Sonny trying to reconcile, only to walk in on Sonny in bed with Nina. She says that’s when she stopped caring about Sonny and divorced him.

Carly goes on to explain she took nothing from Sonny but the house, and lost her hotel while committing insider trading, which she knows now was a crime. She reveals Nina turned her and Drew in, and she could have flipped on Sonny and turned him in with evidence that Sonny violated the National Security Act. He asks how she got that. She brings him up to speed on what Michael did with Dex’s help. She says she destroyed the evidence, and Michael’s anger had changed by then, so they paid Dex to keep an eye on Sonny to protect him. Jason assumes Sonny did not like they were spying on him, and she confirms he didn’t. She says Sonny disowned Michael like he disowned the two of them, and none of the scarifies they made count for anything with him. Jason states they count with him, and he’s grateful for all she’s done. Carly rushes into his arms and they embrace.

Jason feels something is wrong with Sonny, but Carly thinks maybe this is just who Sonny is. Carly won’t forgive him, and wonders if Jason will. Jason says it’s possible Sonny could push him too far, and he’s getting close. Carly wishes for the old Sonny and that somehow they could reach him. Jason says all they can do is live their lives and be there for him when he needs them. Carly says, “Or we could turn our backs on him and let him drown.” Jason won’t do that, and Carly admits neither will she. She thinks maybe it would have been better if she stayed in love with and married Jason. Jason disagrees and likes how they are now, and Carly agrees.

Ava arrives at Crimson to see Nina and waits in her office as she is out. She pulls out a baggie of some of Sonny’s pills and then makes a call to a pharmacy to arrange to have them analyzed.

Nina shows up and apologizes to Ava for keeping her waiting. Nina asks for a progress report about Sonny. Ava suggests Sonny misses her, as he gets in a mood when her name comes up and makes himself a drink. Nina is shocked he’s drinking again, and that he doesn’t like hearing her name. Ava thinks that means she’s still under his skin, so it’s progress.

Ava tells Nina this is going to take time, and she must be patient. Ava insists she can’t rush things, she has to wait for the moment to strike and make Sonny realize how much he wants her back. Nina asks Ava if she thinks it would make a difference if she sold her half of the hotel to Jason.

Ava is shocked Nina would sell. Nina says the novelty has worn off. Plus, she wonders if she’d win points selling the hotel to Sonny’s best friend. She admits running the hotel isn’t work she enjoys, and she’s sure Jason will give the hotel to Carly. She thinks that will humiliate Drew, but also earn a point with Sonny. Ava explains Sonny and Jason are closer than brothers. and Sonny would be deeply moved if she did this.

At the Home & Heart studio, Brook Lynn arrives and finds Lucy gabbing on camera about herself and The Nurses Ball. Haven tries to get her back on track, but Lucy only wants to talk about herself and her gown changes. Brook Lynn thinks they are going down fast, and Maxie explains she’s called in just the soldier they need. Brook Lynn can’t believe it but thanks God for Haven trying to save the day.

Scott arrives, and Maxie orders him to get on set and get Lucy talking about the product. He barges on camera, and Lucy introduces him as Deception’s lawyer. Scott tries to get her to talk about the face cream, but she only wants to talk about the ball. Maxie thinks it was a nice try. Brook Lynn has one last Hail Mary.

In the Quartermaine stables, Tracy meets with Cody and learns her custom-made saddle, one he hasn’t used in years has a problem due to how it was stored away. Tracy says if there is a problem with it, he’s out on his behind.

Sasha brings out the saddle, and fortunately, she has a way with leather. It’s fully restored Tracy notes it looks amazing. Cody suggests while he helps Tracy with her saddle, Sasha gets to filling out applications. Alone, she decides to straighten up the tack room instead and misses a call from Brook Lynn.

In the main house, Gregory stops by to speak with Brook Lynn, but Lois says she’s off doing something with Deception. If this is about the wedding she’s happy to help him. Before she lets Gregory explain why he came, Lois talks about all the preparations for the wedding. They are interrupted when Brook Lynn calls with an emergency, so Lois excuses herself.

Lois rushes out to the stables and tells Sasha that Brook Lynn has been trying to reach her as Lucy is spiraling out of control on air and they need her. She leaves with Lois, as Cody smiles.

Tracy heads to the house and finds Gregory waiting. He explains he came to see Brook Lynn, but it’s not urgent. She offers to pass along a message for him. Gregory says he won’t be bringing a plus one after all, as Alexis had to cancel on him. Gregory shouldn’t say anything, and promises her to keep this a secret, and tells her about Alexis’ appeal to get her law license back. Gregory hopes this doesn’t mess up the seating arrangements, and Tracy says it won’t and he’ll take up a seat at the family table next to her. He says he’d like that.

Back at the Home & Heart set, nobody can get Lucy to stop talking about the past Nurses Balls. Lois and Sasha arrive, and Lucy is still gabbing about The Nurses Ball and how she created Deception. Brook Lynn says Sasha has to get in there, Deception is trending in a bad way and sales are low.

On set, Lucy turns to talking about the books she wrote as Sasha steps on stage. Lucy looks at her and asks what she’s wearing. Sasha explains they are her work clothes, she’s a stable hand and loves it, and it doesn’t leave her a lot of time to feel pretty. Scott pulls Lucy off the stage, and Sasha explains she’s not wearing makeup right now, so she can show the viewers what their new face cream can do on a bare canvas.

Offset, Lucy asks Maxie why Sasha is here and dressed like an escapee from Mayberry. Maxie tells Lucy that she handled an impossible situation the best she could, but they need Sasha. Suddenly Lucy’s phone is blowing up as she’s trending, and she forgets all about Maxie ambushing her. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn thanks her mother for getting Sasha here. Maxie joins them and says they haven’t sold out, but they should by the end of the day. Elsewhere, Haven thanks Sasha and hopes she will be back.

Anna is in her office looking at a handwritten list of people connected to the WAB and Pikeman, and puts a question mark next to Valentin’s name. Cates arrives still bruised, and she asks what happened to him. Cates explains he was mugged on the waterfront, and nothing was stolen, so it might have been orchestrated as it was near the Corinthos Coffee’s warehouse. She asks what he was doing snooping around there. He thinks she’s making him out to be the criminal, but she’s trying to get an idea of what happened.

Cates explains he was tailing Jason’s lawyer, and wonders if she’s clean. Anna confirms her clients may not be, but Diane is a professional. He thinks if she was going there then there must be some alliance brewing between Jason and Sonny. Anna doubts it, as Sonny wanted her to file charges against him for the attack on the docks. She asks what happened next, and he tells her about Carly Spencer pulling up and scaring the guys off. Anna thinks Jason shouldn’t be their focus here. She says the fact that Pikeman is coming for him has him in danger, so back off and give Jason some credit.

On the next General Hospital: Maxie confides in Felicia she’s worried about taking Spinelli back if things go south. Brick asks Jordan, “Can you come out and play?” Gregory asks someone if there is a problem. Laura tells someone that’s not her call to make, but she does know whose it is. Joss and Trina are out for a run and Trina confides, “I don’t think it’s ever coming back no matter what I do.” A shirtless Dex, in the same park, says he’s going to do whatever it takes. Sonny asks someone what they have for him.
